Thanks Jude. As an elementary teacher In 2010 you’re still having a strong influence on the way in which I present IT to my Australian students. Apple computers continue to stimulate their imagination. I will always hold dearly the time we corresponded (2002-2008) and met briefly in 2002. From Peter Johnson, Australia.
My daughter, Allison went to P.S. 167 and I and my husband, Norman (deceased) were founding members. After many years, I stopped coming, but Norman continued to sketch there. I love the photo of Judy and how much she did for both the Garden and our little school. My sympathies go out to all, family and friends, she was so young and had so much to offer. All the best, Sheila
We miss you.
I attended P.S. 166 and graduated the 5th grade in 1995 and remember Judy so vividly. Always was funny and I loved going to the office on the 2nd floor to see her. So sorry to hear of her passing. Thanks for the memories Judy. RIP. xoxoxoxo
Dear Sam, Mike, Matthew, Lily and June-
I’m so sorry to hear of Judy’s passing. I’m also touched, after so many years, to catch a glimpse into some of the facets of the world she inhabited. I’m truly struck at how this site captures some of the beauty and grace Judy clearly retained throughout her life.
I hope you’ll always carry her with you.
Pieranna
Thank you for putting together such a touching site in memory and in honor of Jude. Our past 6 years at PS 166 would not have been the same without Jude. She was a sweet lady and always made the children her priority. We are honored to have known her and will continue to remember her.

Thanks greatly Lily for sending me a memento of the memorial service for your mother. I loved the poem by Robert Paulling. I was the ‘friend who claimed to be the best.’ There are so few good people on this Earth. I feel so fortunate to have known Judith Rohn!
Respectfully yours,
Peter, Bebie, Ariel and Liezl
Hello all you Judith’s children. Such a lovely website – thank you so much for putting it together for everybody to share. It’s nice that I can have Judith on my screen in my house in France although it’s so sad that she won’t be making the trip here except I’m sure in spirit. I can’t really feel she’s actually gone, but just waiting somewhere out of sight. I’m sure we’ll meet again one day, and she’ll still have plenty to say about everything that’s been happening. Till then Judy – au revoir XXX
To Sam, Matt, Micheal and Lily
I know you know that I considered Judy my second mom, but I don’t know if you know how much both Judy and Mort influenced my life, She will be soreless missed as I will not have anyone to yell at me about all the things I do.
Love to you all
Peter
Hey mama, Just wanted to tell you I love you and miss you everyday. It’s amazing how much I have learned about you from complete strangers. I think I have finally figured it all out…You are the Mother Goddess of the Upper West Side. Who would have thunk it? 🙂
Judy was very good person if you needed something or her she would always be there. We still have memories of time we saw her.
Hey, Jude –
You’re still growing in our garden and talking in my mind.
We miss you.
Chelsea, Maxwell and Mariele
I remember when Judy took Ben and me out of class just to give us a snack and a shoulder rub, which in my opinion was the best. I really miss Judy.
